WordCamp Miami is coming up this month May 29th-31st, and our team is super excited to be attending and speaking. WordCamps everywhere are made awesome by all the speakers and attendees who come and share their knowledge, learn about WordPress, have fun hanging out together.
A vital part of WordCamps is the amazing sponsors. Without sponsors, these incredible conferences would not be possible (or not in budget for many of us). These events can cost around $150 a person to put on, but thanks to the sponsors, attendees are charged much less.
WP Valet Represents at WordPress Miami 2015
If you haven’t met James Tryon, our Creative Director, this is your chance. He’s been in the creative industry for more than 16 years, and his eye for design and usability is a big key to what makes WP Valet projects successful. He’ll be speaking on how to do research and discovery for your project—including project audits, on-boarding, Agile planing and wire-framing.
Our own Jesse Petersen will also be taking the stage. Attendees will be able to pick his brain and learn from his Genesis expertise as a theme and plugin developer. In addition to partnering with WP Valet, he is the founder of Petersen Media Group, an exclusive Genesis framework agency in Tampa, FL. He is also the face of the Genesis framework at the e-learning site, Treehouse. Jesse is a veteran WordCamp speaker of several business topics and is launching a Genesis theme shop called Genesis The.me.
Jesse will be presenting a mini-workshop on how to work with the Genesis Framework.
Wait, there’s more! Mason James, the Founder of WP Valet, will also be speaking on how to run a WordPress based business. His experience steering the ship here at WP Valet is invaluable for others entrepreneurs also trying to run a WordPress team.

Since WP Valet is an agency based largely in Florida, WordCamp Miami is in our own backyard and holds a special place in our heart. We look forward to seeing all you Floridians and all you northerners who want to get a taste of the good life in the sun. The panel looks exciting, and we’re looking forward to learning, sharing, and enjoying a mojito on the beach together.
